ALONG THE GRAPEVINE...
ESTATE UPDATE
Our vines have kicked off with a bang this year as a result of one of the wettest recorded years at Riversdale Estate in more than thirty years. Budburst was around a week earlier than in 2019 but with the cooler spring days we had growth slow down slightly, however growth hascaught up & now looks to be 8 days ahead of the previous growing season. If the weather behaves it looks like we will have a very high quality Vintage ahead, however there is still plenty of quality management to come.
In the Winery we are completing additional tank areas. Our bottling line is being set up at the moment and we will be getting our first maiden onsite vintage into bottle by December. We are looking forward to releasing several new look labels in 2021.

MEET EMILY!
STAFF PROFILE
Emily as the Supervisor heads up the FOH at the Bistro, and we have had the pleasure of working with Emily for 3 years. Emily has a terrific knowledge of Riversdale Wines and patrons enjoy her wine tasting experiences both in the Bistro and wine tastings in the Cellar Door. Emily relaxes with a glass of our Estate Riesling and being of Italian heritage, slices of garlic pizza!

DEGUSTATION EVENINGS
WHAT FUN NIGHTS THEY ARE INDEED!
What a fabulous night we have with guests indulging in 6 courses and 6 wines, banter and repartee! Our Spring Degustation featured Spring seasonal dishes with one of the courses being our Riversdale Estate lamb, always on the menu, and fresh from paddock to plate. The Asian Degustation was another great success with 6 Chinese traditional courses paired with our best wines for the night and insights from our Vigneron & Winemaker.

THE HIGH TEA EXPERIENCE
TEA ANYONE?
In our purpose built High Tea Orangery our guests love the atmosphere we have created at Riversdale Estate, which is hard to replicate and where guests step back in time or be whisked away to a European setting for a little while, to enjoy a splendid High Tea, complete with trimmings, service and a plentiful choice of beautiful teas. Our recently themed Halloween High Tea & Vegan High Tea were sheer delights to see and to eat!
We have a full list of themed High Teas on our Website for 2021, with themed High Tea’s ranging from The Lion King to Abba, to Elvis and Marilyn Monroe to a Titanic High Tea, where inspiration will be taken from the Titanic menus. Due to the popularity of our High Tea in the Orangery, bookings are made well ahead, so don’t leave to the last minute to book! Book online, fb or phone or email. Payment on booking required.

CAROLE'S TREASURES
A section of the Bistro is dedicated to “Carole’s Collection” – a treasure trove of vintage fashion, shoes, handbags, giftware and books. Carole Murray (you may have had the joy of purchasing a little something from her at the Sorell market in the past years) offers a carefully chosen selection of beautiful, new and vintage fashion, jewellery, gifts and accessories to choose from.
Carole graces her collection on a Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 4.00pm. There is nothing like bagging a beautiful bargain and finding something that is gorgeous, and not readily available! Pop in and say hello to Carole, have a coffee and a piece of the Pastry Chef’s House cake, and mull over what you have seen and really have to have!

Do drop in on us – Friday to Sunday and take the opportunity to try our coffee and cake, or even a pizza, or Riversdale Tower to share, and see the difference in the vines spread out in front of you. Past the vineyard there is Pittwater, which even on a grey day looks good! Our view is one not replicated up and down the valley so the invitation is open for you to experience what Riversdale Estate has to offer in food and views from everywhere – in the Bistro, Cellar Door, Veranda or outside under the Pergola. Open Friday to Sunday – Coffee from 10am, and walk-ins welcome.
